Rates & Policies

TESTING SERVICES

Neuropsychological, Psychodiagnostic, Psychoeducational, and Forensic Evaluations are typically conducted over a number of sessions. Frequency and total duration depends on the referral question and number, and types of assessments administered, among other considerations. Dr. Judy Ho and client will determine and discuss details of the evaluation plan on a case-by-case basis.

 

COST OF TESTING

Dr. Judy Ho's fee schedule for psychological/neuropsychological testing services vary. Considerations include type of referral question, number of assessments administered, use of the evaluation, and duration of all evaluation services. Please contact Dr. Judy Ho to discuss your specific assessment needs and learn about cost options.

 

PAYMENT POLICY 

The client is responsible for payment in full at the time of the first session via personal check, cashier's check, credit card, or cash. A credit card is required to confirm and hold all appointments. Any other arrangements must be made in advance. A $25 administration fee will be charged on all checks that are returned for non-sufficient funds.

 

INSURANCE

Many insurance plans reimburse for some portion of psychological testing. Please direct questions about reimbursement amounts and timeliness to your insurance company.

 

CANCELLATIONS

We understand that it may, at times, be necessary to cancel an appointment. To help us be most efficient and responsible in the use of our time, we require that any chances or cancellations be made at least 48 hours in advance. A full session fee is charged for missed, cancelled, or changed appointments with less than 48-hour notice unless it is due to illness or an emergency. A bill will be mailed directly to all clients who do not show up for or cancel an appointment. Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Contents of all sessions are usually considered to be confidential. There may be some limitations when it is a forensic evaluation, which will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Both verbal information and written records about a client cannot be shared with another party without the written consent of the client or the client’s legal guardian. Noted exceptions are as follows:

 

  • If there is suspected child abuse, dependent adult abuse, or elder abuse, I am required by law to report this to appropriate authorities immediately.

  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s), I must notify the police and inform the intended victim. 

  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensure their safety. If they do not cooperate I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law to ensure their safety
